"Really motivating to see all our colleagues
highly interested in improving our
healthcare system"
"I’ve learned a lot from the residents and
questions that judges asked! The flow of
the event was well organized too."
“It was a great learning experience from seniorstudents, residents, and attendings. Also learned to
look beyond 'community' changes to address the
problem we have right now.”
“Excellent brainstorming around system issues thatare rarely addressed in med school or in residency. I am
impressed with the PPT skills of presenters.”
THE WINNING SOLUTION
The winning solution presented by Team Green tackled the issue of overcrowding and limited patient flow in the hospital due to the complexity of care needed for geriatric patients. The implementation of a geriatric emergency medicine assessment team and an evidence-based fast-track protocol at triage for geriatric patients requiring CT head imaging demonstrated innovation in addressing a
critical burden on the healthcare system.
